I’ve been a long time NPR listener, so I know who Ira Glass is. I’ve always liked him, but listening to this video made me love him.

It just resonated so deeply with me.

I had a moment where I just want to shout out, “YESSSSSS!”  I am very aware that I am not the best, not even close. The reason why I post is not because I am trying to say, “Hey look at me! I’m so great!” Honestly it is very intimidating to put yourself out there on the internet, which is not the world’s friendliest place. But I want to get better, and to be better, you have to do the work. I could do the work behind closed doors, but then no one would be able to respond and tell me what they thought was good and wasn’t good. Social media has created these public forums for us to express ourselves and that part is really great!
