Hi Friends,
We’re mostly settled into our new home! I’m typing to you from my humble Sacramento photography office, sometimes known as the guest room. I even photographed an event this past weekend which was really exciting. I’m catching up on a few more family sessions and this one has summer vibes!
The drive out to Pompiono beach was down windy one lane road (All the way west on highway 84). I was going slowly much to the dismay of all the motorcyclists behind me. It’s not very far from downtown San Mateo, but feels a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the Peninsula life.
This session was such a pleasure because it reminded me of how I grew up. Running around the beach, digging in the sand, climbing and jumping off things and learning about new critters buried deep within the sand. You don’t need all the things to have a good time – just some creativity and imagination!
When I met Nathaniel, he told me that he already had previous modeling experience. Total introvert! We really hit it off and we ended up having such a good time enjoying beach life and digging up hermit crabs! He just ran around doing all the things he would normally do without me being there.
I was able to catch really sweet father son moments which is extra special to me. A lot of the times, it’s the ladies in our lives that want photos, and the guys come along for the ride. I think about the whole experience for everyone! My goal is to have the guys walking away thinking, that was more fun than I thought it would be and for everyone to love their photos!
What are you looking forward to this summer? Travel, jumping into the nearest body of water, or enjoying more family time now that the kids are home?
