I’m excited to announce a project that didn’t quite take shape until now! I have a bunch of travel photos I haven’t done much with. I decided to put up the ones that are a little extra into a Print Shop!
Currently it’s just photos of my time in Florence and Venice, but I plan to expand the gallery to other travels as well! It was impossible for me not to take hundreds of photos in each location. Each city is so visually captivating and inspiring in their own way. I’m so grateful for having the opportunity to get lost and inspired by them both. I only had a short 48 hrs in each city. Luckily, jet lag allowed me to get up at dawn each day to capture magical light in these gorgeous historic cities.
Florence
In Florence there was art everywhere! Artists are evening drawing on the streets themselves!
Venice
I took the train from Florence to Venice. It was easy to get between cities. Venice is famous for being having canals instead of streets. To date Venice has been the most beautiful city I’ve personally been to. There’s so much color, texture, and hidden corners waiting to be discovered. I will also say it is the most navigationally difficult city I’ve been to. I basically gave up any hope of having a plan because it was extraordinarily difficult for me to find my Airbnb. I’m going to firmly suggest that everyone follow their host’s instructions instead of relying on Google Maps like I did. I saw other travelers ( fellow Americans, listen up! ) who fell into this trap.
I didn’t get to go to anything that required reservations because I didn’t plan in advance for this trip. If I could do it all over again, I would try to be a little better at planning. I had a host who provided breakfast which was wonderful in more ways that one! (Getting lost and hangry is the worst. Seriously.)
I hope you enjoyed the photos and will take a look at the Print Shop for more photos and to get your own copy of these images!
