I wanted to revisit Personal Branding Photography with you today. Because they have been so important in creating the branding for my own business, and I want you to have the same confidence in yourself when you present yourself to the world or the internet!
Personal Branding shoots are intended for any business owners and entrepreneurs who want to use photography to help build their brand and online presence. And while traditional headshots work, I find that adding a lifestyle or lived in element to the photos to be more fresh and modern. Having lifestyle photos help tell the story of your brand with the background or props which point to your unique skill or service.
I’ve shot for in the past include designers, makers, fitness professionals, and chefs. These photos are universal for any business marketing.
The following photo was featured in Yoga Journal for my friend and client Vivian. You can read and see more of her shoot here.
I began doing more of these shoots in 2018, and they’ve quickly become a favorite! These shoots allow me to get to know you, your business, and lets us team up to create together!
How Branding Photos have helped my business
When I was getting started, I was on the struggle bus. My website never looked the way I wanted it to. It turns out the answer was:
- Getting awesome personal branding photography which I’m happy to help you with! Annnnd
- Getting a Tonic Site Shop Template. They just are the bee’s knees of design, and I couldn’t be happier with them!
Some ideas on how to use these branded photos
Sessions from other clients have also helped them with:
- Printed and digital promotional materials like branded postcards and digital ads
- Update their own websites which they get regular compliments on
- Being featured in local news and magazine articles to increase brand awareness
- Content for social media use
- Have awesome branded content to promote a Kickstarter campaign for funding.
Conclusion
Photos that truly show off your unique personality, style, and service you provide are key in your business launch or promotion.
They show off your personality, style, and are a more modern take on traditional headshot photography.
