Today’s Personal Branding Session for Therapist was a referral from a previous client, Karlie. She referred her friend Cindy to do a session after her experience! Cindy was looking to create an online presence for her therapy services. During our first call, we discussed what it looked like to start a new website.
Starting a new website to go with your branding session
There are different options for websites at different price points. You could have a designer do a custom website $$$$. Alternately you could start a website hosting service, like Squarespace. It’s more costly friendly using one of their own templates $$. But my favorite option that I’ve used, it to get a website template from a designer (think: Creative Market or my website designers Tonic Site Shop) $$$ to use for a website host. It’s a mid-range option that can usually be customized further to look like a truly custom website. It has more options available than the ones available from website hosts.
Previously, I started out with a website host template and it didn’t look exactly the way I wanted. I grew frustrated with the lack of optionality and wound up getting a designer template. It’s a bit more of an upfront investment, but I have no regrets as my Tonic Site Shop template really looks polished, and I’ve received tons of compliments about it over the years! Thanks Jen and Jeff!

Cindy opted for booking her shoot at the studio versus a home. We both brought some props for the shoot and this is what we came up with!

Helping clients transition from in person services to online services
I love helping clients transition their services into an online presence. It feels very now, modern, and helps people have more flexibility in their workday. And really, flexibility and freedom are what really drew me into entrepreneurship. It also has its drawbacks, which is an entirely different blog post. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in reading!
