A short list of things that make my heart happy:

• Taking photos of awesome people.
• Watching stories unfold.
• Having happy clients that come back for a second session!

Today’s session I’m sharing has all those things with a 6 month old home session with Bonnie and Matt!  You may remember Bonnie and Matt from their Baby Shower last year. I had the pleasure of seeing this sweet couple again as well as meeting their son Jacob in their new home in San Francisco! Not only have they had a baby, but they have also bought their first home together in San Francisco!

When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Bonnie and their dog Cody! I quickly noticed what great natural light they have in their home. I was warned that Jacob was feeling a little under the weather, but he was filled with smiles and giggles!  He loved to play and be cuddled by mom and dad.

 

We were able to get such a great variety of photos inside and outside their home, with Jacob fully clothed and in most of his birthday suit, and in a variety of poses! Bonnie was willing to go full nude, but I’ve heard such horror stories of diaper free time, that I couldn’t!

The 6 month milestone picture of sitting unassisted was no problem! He easily sat unassisted with a expression that looked like pure joy and accomplishment after he was changed! Jacob did super well and we were able to get a variety of poses in: tummy time, push ups, grabbing his feet for happy baby, as well as  a wide range of facial expressions!

This session was so, so much fun and why I continue to move forward with photography! It’s a gift to be able to work with incredible families that value these sweet little moments, and being able to share them with others!
