Hi Friends!
I’m sharing my last family session of the year! Tina saw the pictures from my Mini Sessions . She liked them so much that she booked a full session!
The family was staying in San Francisco to celebrate Patrick’s birthday. They were staying in a hotel close to the Ferry building which is one of the more recognizable buildings in the city.
Visiting the Ferry Building
Visitor tip! You can go upstairs in the Ferry Building Monday – Saturday. The stairs that go up to the second level are closed on Sunday! From other pictures it looks like the lighting is better upstairs with less people traffic for a cleaner shot! Saturday mornings also have the farmer’s market where they have food vendors all over. It’s one of my favorite things to do in the city! Grab some freshly made food from one of the stalls and then watch the boats come in and out of the pier. There’s always a lot of street artists on the other side of the T train tracks as well once you get full!
We did well despite not being able to go upstairs! The morning fog was a great natural light diffuser. We also found pops of complementary color around the building itself which I really enjoy in otherwise neutral photos.
Back to the Session
Their daughter, Alila, was really shy at first. Once we stepped outside and she saw the birds, she lit up and began talk, giggling, and smiling! She also is quite ticklish which helps us get those natural smiles.
My Appreciation
I want to say a very special thank you all the families I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year. I’m so so grateful for you. Your Holiday cards made me beam from the inside out in joy and appreciation for you all! I hope to see you all in 2019! Until then, have a great New Year!
