Two native San Franciscans were involved in this shoot. None of us knew where the labyrinth at Land’s End was located. I had just seen the pictures and the Google Map location. This is how the latest installment our yoga shoot started out.

It was also an usually warm and all around beautiful day to shoot, which isn’t the Land’s End I was familiar with. The few times I’ve tried to hike the trail, I’d given up along the way because of very very cold fingers – mostly from the windchill factor.
We just about reached Baker Beach headed North on the trail until I figured out we probably weren’t going the right way. If you’re interested in finding the Labyrinth with some more details and directions, don’t trust my directional sense and check out this link.

We eventually met someone with the most spry fluffy puppy along the hiking trail who kindly pointed us in the right direction. This is where we came up with the catch phrase of the day, “Never trust a local.” We had NO IDEA where we are going in the proximity of anything that attracts tourists because locals don’t tend to hang out there.

Maybe it was a blessing in disguise because the sun was really low by the time we reached the cliffs, and we were really able to get the most out of Golden Hour!

It is always an adventure when shooting with Viv! She has an adventurous spirit taking us by water, or other interesting photographic locations wherever we are! I’m so excited to see her practice evolve over the years as well as her teaching!
Viv can be found here on Instagram or here on her website. She’s an NYC based yogi, but travels to San Francisco and Maui often! Her class schedule is listed on her website!
